THINK & DRINK
Cleveland's brainiest happy hour . . .

Raise a glass with the Museum on select Thursdays and explore our different topics and latest discoveries with scientific experts — and drinks brewed by Northeast Ohio's best breweries — as your guide! Each #ThinkandDrink highlights a different science topic and offers exclusive access to professional staff and researchers, unique experiences and interactive demonstrations. Enjoy a drink from our beer ($5) and wine ($6) bar, and grab a bite to eat in Exploration: A Zack Bruell Restaurant, located off Wade Oval lobby.

With a short walk in University Circle (@InTheCircle), I went from photography from 1940–1950 at the Cleveland Museum of Art (@ClevelandArt) to the world of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History (@goCMNH). Normally, these museums are not open late on Thursdays, but Thursday, March 21, 2019, was special!

This month's theme for the Cleveland Museum of Natural History's Think & Drink with the Extinct was Fantastic Beasts of the Natural World. I was greeted by museum staff members dressed as witches or wizards from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The costumes were clever, and the way they used the theme to feature unique animals in the real world worked to support the museum's mission:

To inspire, through science and education, a passion for nature, the protection of natural diversity, the fostering of health and leadership to a sustainable future.

My @sos_jr tweets and retweets share my experience at this Think & Drink with the Extinct event. In the tweets, I listed the partner organizations that joined with staff from different Cleveland Museum of Natural History departments to create this fun evening. I recommend learning more by exploring the websites of these organizations. Please share any photos and videos that you find interesting by retweeting. Clicking on Twitter photos will enlarge them!
