Cleveland's North Coast Harbor Ice Fest 2016

Having seen the incredible ice sculptures last year, we made it a point to attend the second annual Cleveland's North Coast Harbor (@NCoastHarbor) Ice Fest (#CLEiceFest). (See our photos from last year in the "#IceFestCLE" section of our 2015 blog post.)

We are posting our @sos_jr tweets and photos/videos from Cleveland's Ice Fest at North Coast Harbor here as our way to thank the organizers.

The Ice Fest was located between the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum (@Rock_Hall) and the Great Lakes Science Center (@GLScienceCtr).

Here is the official schedule for the 2016 Ice Fest at North Coast Harbor, followed by the list of this year's partners and sponsors. Thank you, sponsors!

More than 20 ice displays will be set up on the walk way between the Science Center and Rock Hall. The event will be open to the public 7:00pm Friday through Sunday evening.

  • February 19: Fire & Ice tower, 7:00pm, Between the Science Center and Rock Hall *** performance by Fire & Light Performing Arts team
  • February 20: Speed Carving Competition, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Plaza
  • February 21: Big Science Show, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, Great Lakes Science Center Patio

We were fortunate to attend on Friday, February 19, 2016, to see the large WKYC TV-3 (@WKYC) "Fire & Ice Tower" and the performance by Fire & Light Performing Arts team (@FireAndLightArt). See our many photos and videos of the tower in our Flickr slideshow.

It was so great to meet the Fire & Light Performing Arts team in person, since we have written blog posts about other events where they have performed (CWRU think[box] Thinkapalooza! and IngenuityFest 2015).

I see that all the details are online here. It is great that the Great Lakes Science Center and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum will have FREE admission for the day.
