Tweet! Tweet! Celebrating Three Years!

How did I get started promoting technology meetings and other events in Cleveland? It all started with my announcements at the beginning of my meetings. Over time, the number of meetings grew and grew, so that there were too many to announce. Then, Jim Evans (@GeekClean) asked, "Have you ever heard of Twitter?" And the rest is history...

I invite you to learn more by visiting and by reading the September Cleveland Business Connects Magazine article "Networking 2.0: Techies Harness the Power of Continual Education," featuring

Meetings I Track For @sos_jr

Here is a list of most of the groups whose meetings I track. I had a problem with Google Chrome browser dropping some of my bookmarks, so I plan to add more groups this week as time permits I updated it on October 2nd by adding 13 more.

I had expected this list to be about 80 groups/events, but here I am with over 100, and more coming 116. I want to also invite you to go to to see my blog posts on some of the meetings I have attended.

If you are on Twitter, please spread the word about these great Cleveland groups in your tweets. Also, please support our community with the "Call For Action" items listed at the bottom of the web page.

Call For Action

You will find that most of these Cleveland tech, social media, & entrepreneur meetings are free or low cost. This is made possible by the large number of community leaders that give of their time to make these meeting happen. Please be sure to assist and thank these leaders and consider doing the following:

  • Please be sure to thank the group leader at the end of the meeting.
  • If you see a group that does not have a meeting scheduled, please offer to help secure presenters. If you are knowledgeable on a topic, please consider sharing your knowledge as a presenter.
  • Promote our great Cleveland meetings on Facebook, Twitter, and your other favorite social media.
    • Follow the leaders listed above on Twitter and re-tweet what they share about their meetings. Use Twitter to publicly thank group leaders for their good work.
  • Please watch for my weekly Sunday or Monday night tweets on Cleveland meetings, and re-tweet those in which your followers would be interested. You can also link to the blog posts I create each week from these tweets at
  • Please click the Facebook "like" button, and let all your friends know about all the great Cleveland meetings.
  • If you think of a topic not covered by the above list, please consider starting a group. When you do this, please be sure to let Sarah Dutkiewicz (@sadukie) of Cleveland Tech Events (@ClevTechEvents) and me know, so we can assist you in promoting it.
  • There are some meetings I know of that still need to be added to this list -- I plan to update as time permits. Please add to the comments below and let me know via Twitter of any meetings that I need to add to my list.
  • Offer to buy a leader their favorite beverage.

We have so many great people making things happen in our community! Thank you for joining me in celebrating all that is happening by taking action!
