"This is so future!"

"This is so future!" - my son overheard this from a young child at the grand opening of the Cleveland Museum of Art Gallery One on January 21, 2013. This one exclamation perfectly expressed the excitement of the day.

I had attended the Gallery One Crash Party, and had read and written about the gallery opening, but actually attending was better than expected. Hearing the reactions of my family and those around us was great.

I heard many say that they had read about the new Gallery One online and in The Plain Dealer, but that when they arrived, they were surprised by all they saw.

While at the Cleveland Art Museum, I took a lot of photos that I thought would convey the atmosphere. My recommendation, though, is to just go there. Download the ArtLens iPad app (or you can rent an iPad from the museum for $5.00), and get to Gallery One!

I agree - a very good thing! Let me know if you want to be a Museum Groupie with me sometime, and Julie and I will meet you there.

If you can't make tomorrow's MIX at CMA: Interface, then you need to make plans to go to the museum's Gallery One some time. If you go with the www.GCPCUG.org meeting, you will get a special tour.
