UPDATE: See follow up blog post 9/27/12 Guitarmania Returns!
On May 26, 2012, I had the good fortune to see the final version of designer Garrett Weider's (@GarrettWeider) guitar at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum (RockHall.com - @rock_hall), along with other Cleveland #GuitarMania guitars displayed on Memorial Day Weekend. Garrett's design is special this year for those active on Twitter in Cleveland, since we were able to add our Twitter names to the art piece at a March 21st TweetUp sponsored by Cleveland.com (@ClevelandDotCom) and the United Way of Greater Cleveland (@UnitedWayCLE) at the Cleveland House of Blues (@HOBCleveland). As I said in my earlier blog post, it is "our" #CleTweetUp guitar!
Garrett Weider Guitar Design - True Grit
Garrett's "Guitarmania! For United Way" blog shows the steps to create the guitar leading up to the March Cleveland TweetUp. At the TweetUp, members of the Cleveland Twitter community were invited to the Cleveland House of Blues to add their their Twitter names to the guitar. It was a great in-person social event with great food, fun, and slips of paper for our names that Garrett later added to the guitar.
Here are photos of the result that was shared with the community at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum before all the guitars were distributed throughout Cleveland.

I didn't know we were going to be on the back! I was randomly looking at the guitars yesterday (and even saw this one), but didn't think to look on the back. Based on your pictures, I did not see my name. I'll have to check it out in person to confirm, but I'm going to be sad if I got left out! I filled out a paper, I was there! :(

The guitars are outside in front of the Rock Hall. I took some photos and video which I hope to post soon.
