On Sunday, April 19, 2026, I had a great time attending The Print Club of Cleveland's 41st Fine Print Fair in The Cleveland Museum of Art’s atrium. I enjoy attending this art event every year!

I put this blog post together to share my photos from the event and to lock in my positive memories from the day. Most importantly, I want to thank the event organizers.

A special shout-out to Jerry Smith, who is a member of the 41st Fine Print Fair organizing team. I met Jerry many years ago when I attended a Cleveland Institute of Art adult education drawing class that he was teaching. We reconnected at a March 26, 2024, COSE (Council of Smaller Enterprises) and Assembly for the Arts' "Art at Work” networking event, and we then met for breakfast to talk about his new website: Jerry-Smith-Artist.com (FYI, I wrote about some of the other people I met at this 2024 "Art at Work” networking event in three of my blog posts.)

Cleveland Institute of Art Printmaking

Print has been a way to document, communicate, and share information throughout history. It can be your platform for creative expression or cultural change. Use printmaking to find your voice as an artist and leave your mark.

During the Print Fair there will be demonstrations on print collecting, printmaking and papermaking. Most demonstrations are family friendly.
The following free demonstrations will take place in the Ames Family Atrium.
Saturday, April 18 . . . Kent State University School of Art . . . Zygote Press

Sunday, April 19 . . .
The Morgan Conservatory
. . .
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Cleveland Institute of Art
CIA students will demonstrate intaglio and relief printing on a portable etching press. They will use pre-drawn copper plates and carved relief blocks, which are then inked and printed. Families can participate by helping crank the press.

When I first arrived at the Fine Print Fair, I watched a print demonstration by the Cleveland Institute of Art: College of Art + Design:

I have been fortunate to attend the Fine Print Fair for many years. I was first invited by the Print Club of Cleveland to their opening night benefit preview, "A Prints of a Party," in 2017 (see blog post). I hope you enjoy this sampling of prints from the 41st Fine Print Fair, and that it encourages you to attend in the future:

40th Fine Print Fair in 2025 Featured Cleveland Institute of Art and Zygote Press

Last year, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, I took my mom to the 40th Annual Fine Print Fair. During the event, we watched printing demonstrations by both the Cleveland Institute of Art and Zygote Press.

In 2025, I did't have time to write a blog post about the event, since five days later, on Friday, May 2, 2025, I began my month-long thru-hike of the 311-mile Allegheny Trail in West Virginia. (Read more in one of my 2025 travel blog post.) Now, in 2026, I am taking the opportunity to share my 2025 photos here -- enjoy!
