IngenuityFest: Cleveland's Festival of Art & Technology

Another exciting IngenuityFest took place in Cleveland over the weekend of September 14-16!  In its great, new location at the Port of Cleveland Docks 30 & 32, attendees were treated to, and took part in, innovative examples of visual and performing arts, technology, and entrepreneurship. Throw in great food and spectacular views of our lakefront, and it all added up to a unique and very special event in Cleveland!

Here is a PDF of the 2012 IngenuityFest activities schedule, so you can remember the good times (or so you can see why you need to be sure you don't miss next year's event). You can also use it to identify the photos. As you can see in the schedule, despite attending all three days, these photos/videos don't capture all that happened.

The first video is of an unique installation where you flip an electric strip and electronic appliances play instruments (if you call hitting a drum and strumming a guitar "playing"). The rest of the videos are of Squonk Opera's ‘GO Roadshow.’ Learn more about Squonk Opera at SquonkOpera.org and follow on Twitter at: @SquonkOpera

My use of video here is to just give you a taste of the variety of things that happened at IngenuityFest rather than showing the full performance. You really need to attend IngenuityFest Cleveland to get the full effect. Here are links to some of the performers shown in the videos if you want to see more of their work:

What really struck me when reviewing these videos for this blog post was that I was witness to all of this entertainment in a single, free, Cleveland event focused on art and technology! (I did make a donation each day, but the event was open to all for free.)
