As I have mentioned previously, for the last two years, I have added some special Cleveland summer cultural events to my weekly promotional tweets of Cleveland tech, entrepreneur, and social media meetings. Well, I discovered that I left out of last week's post one of the cultural events that I like to promote that opened last weekend. Fortunately, it continues through August . . .
Last weekend, Cleveland Shakespeare Festival's 15th Season opened with Henry VIII and this weekend they open As You Like It in repertory. We are very lucky in Cleveland to have the "largest performing arts center outside New York City" (PlayhouseSquare.org - @PlayhouseSquare), many other great professional theatres, and fine community theatres. However, while I do tweet about other theatres, the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival is the only group I include in my weekly promotional tweets since they provide free theatre at many outdoor locations throughout Cleveland. Learn about all the their summer dates at CleveShakes.org and please follow them on Twitter at @CleveShakesFest
I also want to make special mention of this week's @ClevelandDotCom and @Indians #CleTweetUp (more details here) on Wednesday, June 20th. It will take place at 5:00 p.m at GoodFellers Restaurant (GoodFellersCleveland.com - @GoodFellers19). If you have never been to a Cleveland Tweetup (#CleTweetUp), then take a look at my #CleTweetUp: Cleveland.com w/ United Way blog post and the follow-up post about "our" very own Cleveland #GuitarMania #CleTweetUp Guitar!
Meeting topics this week include: Vim, Games, #CLEtweetup, Security, Ruby, Appcelerator, and more!
Please share what you learn at any meeting you attend in the comments below. Also, feel free to share additional Cleveland tech and social media meetings I might have missed.
Here are two meetings that I promoted earlier on Monday, which were not in my list from last week. Be sure to follow sos_jr on Twitter for updates during the week:
