2014 Cleveland Mini Maker Faire

We attended and greatly enjoyed the Akron Mini Maker Faire on November 2, 2013 (see our blog post), so we were excited to be able to attend the Cleveland event this year. (We missed the first Cleveland Mini Maker Faire last year.) As the date of March 29, 2014, approached, we heard that the Cleveland Mini Maker Faire (MakerFaireCleveland.com - @MakerFaireCleve) was going to be huge -- and it was!

Here are some facts about the event from the Cleveland Mini Maker Faire website:

We are posting this as our way of thanking all the participating Makers for sharing their knowledge, and to the sponsors who made it possible. Here are our photos and tweets from the day. If you attended, we hope they bring back memories of the good times you had at the event. If you did not attend, perhaps this will encourage you to attend the Cleveland Mini Maker Faire in 2015.

What Others Say

We always like to include what others wrote about events we attended. If you know of additional articles, please feel free to add them in the comment section below.

Future

The most important thing about the Cleveland Mini Maker Faire is NOT what occurred just that one day. What is truly exciting is that the Makers who presented at the event are doing activities year-round in our community. See anything that interests you? Then we recommend reaching out to the Makers and becoming a participant in what they do. See the Cleveland Mini Maker Faire 2014 Program for the list of Makers at the event, plus watch our weekly blog posts for announcements of tech and social media events that you may find interesting.

The Akron-Summit County Public Library (@AkronLibrary) has confirmed that there will be an Akron Mini Maker Faire (MakerFaireAkron.com) in the fall. There will also be a Cleveland Mini Maker Faire (MakerFaireCleveland.com - @MakerFaireCleve) in 2015. Watch their websites and Twitter feeds for announcements.

The Bal Ingénieux is Saturday, May 3, 2014. It is a "night of jazz, circus, burlesque, dance, debauchery, and more..." fundraiser for IngenuityFest. Learn more at the BalIngenieux.com website.

Watch the Ingenuity Cleveland website (IngenuityCleveland.com), and the @IngenuityFest tweets, for more details about their potential partnership with the The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum (@Rock_Hall) and the Great Lakes Science Center (@GLScienceCtr) for IngenuityFest 2014, the last weekend of September.
