CMA's New Interactive Gallery Opens, plus GCPCUG & CLE Drupal

"Features largest multi-touch screen in the
United States, blends art, technology and interpretation"

We are very fortunate in Cleveland to have the Cleveland Museum of Art (@ClevelandArt). I remember enjoying attending art classes there while in high school, and my wife and I have always enjoyed visiting.

With my interest in the museum and in technology, it is with great civic pride that I share the following about our art museum being the first in the nation to feature interactive technology.

Official Press Release:
New Interactive Gallery Opens at the Cleveland Museum of Art on January 21

Thank you to Jane Alexander who emailed me this exciting announcement about the opening, and shared via Twitter:

For those of you who did not see the article by Steven Litt (@Steven_Litt) in The Plain Dealer (@ThePlainDealer), be sure to read it online via Cleveland.com (@ClevelandDotCom):

Special Free Cleveland Tech Meetings

In addition to the big opening on January 21st, please be aware of these special, free Cleveland tech meetings related to new technology at the museum. These meetings are being held by the Greater Cleveland PC Users Group (@GCPCUG), and the Cleveland Drupal Users Group (@DrupalCleveland).

We are lucky to have so many free and low-cost tech education meetings like these. Please remember to check back with sosAssociates.com each week and follow sos_jr on Twitter to learn more and share with others.

Be sure to read my December 27, 2012, blog post "@ClevelandArt #GalleryOne Crash Party" to learn about the sneak preview event I attended. It was at that event that I learned about how Cleveland was leading the nation with the opening of Gallery One and through the use of the ArtLens iPad App. My blog post include videos, photos and tweets from attendees of the event, plus descriptions of the new Gallery One interactive displays.

In yesterday's @ThePlainDealer, there was an article about Cleveland Museum of Art's ArtLens App and #GalleryOne that I want to share with you. Here is the link to @Steven_Litt's article on @ClevelandDotComArtLens app at the Cleveland Museum of Art is impressive, but it has a few glitches

I also want to share this Tweet that links to the @ClevelandArt website for more information:
