On February 13, 2015, we attended Great Lakes Science Center's Science After Dark: MythBusters, which not only featured the special MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition, but also had a special "pre-Valentine's Day" theme.

Our photos and tweets give an overview of this Great Lakes Science Center (@GLScienceCtr) event. When you see us at events around Cleveland, please feel free to ask about the details of this event. We would love to talk you about the fun activities in Greater Cleveland.

We have been to some of the other Great Lakes Science Center - Science After Dark events. They always have some fun extra activities for the 21 and over crowd. Here are some of the highlights:

The MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition included an incredible amount of artifacts from the show and many interactive exhibits.

We want to mention here just a few of the interactive displays that we really enjoyed:

  • Does toast always fall buttered-side down? We used several different mechanical contraptions to test this theory.

  • Does a person get wetter running or walking through a rainstorm? See our photos where glowing water drops are visible to determine which of us is wetter. (Julie walked, and Stuart ran.)

We highly recommend you read the following post on Cleveland Kiddos' (@ClevelandKiddos) blog, since it goes into more detail on the different parts of the exhibition:

SCIENCE IS A BLAST AT “MYTHBUSTERS: THE EXPLOSIVE EXHIBIT” AT THE GREAT LAKES SCIENCE CENTER

We briefly met Jacquie of Cleveland Kiddos at a chocolate and wine pairing event organized by the Ohio Blogging Association (@OHBlogging). We want to put in a plug for their events, since it is a great way to meet Cleveland area bloggers.
